CHAPTER VI

Home is not always the same place you left.

Every journey changes us, even when the change is invisible.

Sometimes you return carrying hope.

Sometimes questions.

Sometimes relief.

Sometimes uncertainty.

Sometimes simply the need for a little more time.

We never assume which one is yours.

That is why our care was never built around an outcome. It was built around you.

Soft morning light entering a calm bedroom

A quiet morning, before anything moves.

Sheer linen curtains stirring at an open window in warm daylight

Curtains moving softly. Nothing is being asked of you.

A wooden chair by a window with a folded blanket in afternoon light

An empty chair, held for you until the last hour.

A ceramic cup and a handwritten note on a wooden table in warm light

A cup that has almost gone cold, and no one minds.

Returning home should ask as little from you as possible.

The practical details remain quietly organised. Your accommodation. Your departure. Your transfers. Your communication. Your timing.

The visible journey may be ending. The feeling of being accompanied does not have to.

Even after you leave, you always know where to find us.

If another conversation is needed, it already has a place to begin.

Some journeys become quieter. They do not become less important.

You may not know what comes next. You never had to walk this part alone.
